Our Goals

Independence

At the Garden of hope, we utilize the sewing program as a vessel of re-entering society through unforeseen challenges often endured by our members. Through our sewing program we hope that all of our graduates have a future of self sustanibility

Freedom

Through our sewing program we also hope for a future of freedom and self expression. By introducing sewing, an art that captures ones creativity we encourage a future of freedom for all our graduates.

How We Do it

Our Three Step Program

Learning

First, at the garden of Hope, we recruit various community members including orphans, widows, and those in need. When members first join our sewing program they go through independent lessons that teach the the basics of using a sewing machine. As they improve the difficulty in their assigned project increases as they master textiles and design.

Selling

After gaining proficeny in sewing we urge them to keep on building their mastery through projects. After building their portfolios we sell their hardwork locally. As we contuinue selling their work we fund each of their own sewing machines that they take home.

Independence

Once enough money has been saved we buy the member their sewing machine. As we say bye to the members We hope that they continue sewing and building a sustainable income moving forward.

Our Founders

Rosemary initially founded the garden of hope sewing program through the help of this family who overlooks the lessons taught at the sewing program and headstarted it with their kind donations.
